Westrice Dropped from Curse.NA Top Lane
“Roles will be changed after our very weak performance at Regionals, especially on my part,” says John “Westrice” Nguyen on a September 7, 2012 video blog. He confirms recent rumors that Curse is planning to replace him in the Top Lane position, trying out both Elementz and Salce in his former role.
As a means to keep Westrice on the team, Curse is currently having him practice the support role, the current position for Cody “Elementz” Sigfusson.
Curse’s current lineup, with Westrice, Elementz, Saintvicious, Nyjacky and Cop, placed fourth at the North American Regionals, denying them entrance to the World Championship in October. Prior to that, they’d taken first place at MLG Raleigh, but was subsequently disqualified amid controversy and accusations of collusion with Team Dignitas.
