National ESL reveals details of ESL Pro Series Season 3, including $15,000 prize purse

Following a very successful Season 2, the Electronic Sports League has announced that League of Legends will be the centerpiece title of the NESL Pro Series‘ 3rd season. Eight teams, selected on the basis of their performance in Season 2, Intel Extreme Masters events, and Go4LoL events, will compete over seven weeks for a first-place prize of $6,000. Teams will also receive a bounty of $100 per victory. These teams will be announced on March 1st, and games will begin on March 22.

In addition to the Pro Series, which will run from March 22-May 24, National ESL will be continuing their Premier League tournament series as well. The Premier League will remain the most lucrative ESL event for teams looking to book entry into Season 4, and will feature $4,000 in prizes. Signups for both of these events, as well as the Open Divison tournaments that anyone can enter, began yesterday, February 22 and will close on March 14.
