Former CLG.EU Revealed As Team Evil Geniuses

| January 25, 2013 | 3 Comments

After some speculation and a not-so-subtle leak, the team formerly known as Counter Logic Gaming Europe has chosen to sign with notable eSports organization Evil Geniuses.

As you can see from the video above, Stephen “Snoopeh” Ellis is surrounded by other players in EG’s stable. To his left is notable Starcraft player Lee “Jaedong” Jae Dong, to his right is Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho, who plays with their DotA2 team. The last two figures to come into view are Greg “IdrA” Fields and Geoff “iNcontroL” Robinson, two notable foreign Starcraft professionals. You may also recognize them as regular guests on Marcus “djWHEAT” Graham’s web series Inside the Game. Evil Geniuses is known for being one of the most successful eSports teams worldwide.

This decision had been reported long before an official announcement by Gamespot journalist Rod “Slasher” Breslau. The move was made apparent to him through anonymous sources. Afterwards there was no confirmation that this was actually true or not by ex-CLG.EU members or Evil Geniuses themselves, which makes today’s announcement a little less shocking than it would be.

ggChronicle wishes the new Evil Geniuses roster the best in their future with the company.
