CLG Prime Benches, Then Boots Voyboy, Picks up Locodoco [UPDATED]

Counter-Logic Gaming has shaken up their roster post-Season 2 World Championships, as their former top lane, Joe “Voyboy” Esfahani, has been benched removed from CLG.

Update: It looks like Voyboy has gone from “benched” to “gone. From a tweet from Voyboy’s account:

We all knew that roster shakeups may have been in the future for some teams following the League of Legends World Championships, and less than two weeks after the event they look to be starting. CLG Prime’s George “HotshotGG” Georgallidis will be returning to the top lane, Steven “Chauster” Chau will be heading into the jungle. Choi “Locodoco” Yoon-sub will be brought in to support Peter “DoubleLift” Peng; Yoon-Sub has previously played for Team Solomid and Startale.

In an “ask me anything” thread on Reddit, Esfahani explained the situation:

Long story short: Chauster’s jungling, Jiji’s staying mid, Hotshots relearning top and Locodoco is gonna play support for Doublelift.

The root cause of the roster swaps were basically the fact that the team felt Hotshot was under performing in the jungle and he had to be moved and to fix that problem I was selected as the person to get benched. I don’t agree at all with the decision that was reached. There are so many things that can be fixed and improved on this team as most people can tell, however this is the solution that they chose. The best possible solution in my opinion would have been to have Hotshot be our manager/coach.

In a further question, he responded on his current situation:

Right now I’m a sub. I’ve been given the option to stay on the team and stream/live in the house and all the typical things. I think that some teams will make me offers but we will have to see how things play out. [This information has been updated.]

This story will be developed as details become apparent.
